Data Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
— Design, develop and maintain reliable data engineering solutions.

— Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python.

— Develop and orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow.

— Work within AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud environments.

— Build and deploy containerised solutions using Docker.

— Work with systems based on Microservice Architecture

— Integrate data across multiple applications, services and platforms.

— Troubleshoot and optimise pipelines for reliability and performance.

— Collaborate with engineering, data and business stakeholders.

— Support appropriate development, testing and deployment practices.

— Contribute to data solutions supporting analytics and potential Machine Learning use cases.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE :

Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:

— Machine Learning or ML-related data pipelines

— Cloud-native data services

— Data pipeline optimisation

— CI/CD and automated deployment

— Distributed data architectures

— Production-grade data engineering environments

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS :

Applicants must:

— Be currently based in Ireland.

— Be available to attend the client site approximately 2 to 3 times per month.

— Already possess the legal right to work in Ireland for the full contract duration.

— Not require visa or employment sponsorship.

— Be available for an initial 6−month contract

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :

Candidates should have strong hands-on experience with:

— Data Engineering

— Python

— AWS or Microsoft Azure

— Apache Airflow

— Docker

— Microservice Architecture

The successful candidate should also be comfortable working independently within a technical delivery environment and collaborating effectively with multiple stakeholders.
